VOILA, I return!

Not too much new, as you know. I doubt my blogs are/will be very exciting, as I have nothing to live for right now -_- lol, don't take that the wrong way, I just feel lonesome and bored right now. The job is going well, I am on my way to success, I think! Alice (the old lady who is training me) leaves in 2 days, and I am alone from there. SCARY! Still an immense amount of things I don't know, but I have pretty much grasped paying out personal loans/mortagages and manual interest payments and such. It's all the paperwork and routines I need to get ahold of. Like.. analyzing reports x_X Kill me. It's cool though, I get my own set of keys to inside the vault, and a neat little swipe card.

All the women at work dress in nice business wear with high heels, so I have gone shopping :) It's been exhaustingly fun and my credit card has almost reached its limit. LOL. HSBC is currently under renovation, but when it's done, it will look FABULOUS. Cherrywood with potlights and glass doors/windows (obviously) and steel accents. I get my own little corner. I was hoping for an office, but they moved me out into a wall/cubicle thing. -_- Oh well. 1 Year and I can move up to another position!!

20!!

All I have to say is, I love you guys :) I miss you all tons. Thank you to everyone who called me on my 20th birthday. I was super down that day, and just to hear your voices made me sooo happy. And a special shout out to JOCE! Who called me from Aussie, just to say she loves me :D awwww. And thanks to ERIKA for the wickedly funny birthday card. Poop head for sending me money. *throws it back at her* and Shalla, for also calling me and paying serious LD Cell charges :D Ohhh.. and Penny, of course, for texting me a hilarious picture. <33333

Well, I am off. COMMENT. doo it :P

Happy New Year everyone!! 2007! Wow, isn't it weird writing that number? I hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your family and friends. Hope Santa brought you everything you wanted.

Some things I got for Xmas include: Paris Hilton perfume (which smells awesomeee.. I'm now perfume buddies with Shalla!) new PJ's, some new dress shirts, black socks, haha. I got a 30$ gift card to Suzy Shier, from Jon. I can't really remember anything else I got, a bunch of stuff :o But for a family gift we got.. dun dun dun.. a foosball table, which is cool, the Harry Potter Scene-It game, and a DISHWASHER! Which was a blessing because.. I'm not used to washing stuff by hand XD Jon's family also sent me a 50$ gift cert to IKEA to go shopping for some new house stuff. yayyyy!

Some great news though.. I GOT A JOB!! And I am not talking about no blockbuster or crappy low-end job. I am talking about a bank.. yes, infact the 2nd largest bank in the world and the 5th largest company in the world (in terms of assets). Yes, that's right folks, you're looking at the new Operations Assistant for HSBC!! (Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation). Me thinks you will recognize the logo better than the name. YAY! I'm so excited, I start on Monday. Basically my job is a lot of administrative support for the company. It's mainly working with commerical/personal loans. SO when the account managers approve a loan, the paperwork comes to me, and I do a bunch of analyzing and data entry, so that I can actually process the loan. The job also includes a lot of accounting (WHO would've thought?? XD) and customer service over the phone. Kinda SCARY, but it pays well enough that... ME AND JON CAN MOVE OUT!!. This is big news for me guys. It's actually gonna be a reality :o:o I can't believe it..

Well, I gotta go do some laundry, hopefully this will update you all a little bit more on the my LIFE. Isn't is interesting?? yes?? c'mon... -_- I think so. lol.

Why hello! Isn't this a huge surprise. I'm actually updating more than once a week :o Crazy, I know!

Not much is new since my last blog. My dad got home from Cuba last Friday! I was super happy about that because it hasn't felt like the holiday season around here without him. He just makes it. Him and his singing, listening to Christmas music, watching holiday movies, putting up the lights and everything else. He brought me home a TON of postcards and left over change, which is awesome, as I collect both. While I am on the topic of postcards, JOCELYN. You owe me one from Australia, mate :P My dad also brought me home a hand crafted cuban person/idol thing. It is super tall, but super cool. It looks awesome on my shelf.

For some reason, Blockbuster scheduled me to work Christmas Eve, which is one of the two days I asked to have off. She promised she wouldn't schedule me for either, but noooo.. already breaking our promises and I've only worked there for a week. I can see what will be going on in the near future. Now I gotta go in and try to get rid of it. On the upside, I get 10 free rentals a week, so I have been watching more movies lately than normal. Which isn't necessarily good with my sportific physique, hahahaa... yeah right ;)

My dad finally set up the TV in my bedroom. Which is awesome because: A) I have never had a tv in my room before, I knowww.. I just never needed one before. B) My dad did it without me having to ask him. Which NEVER happens around here. I was beyond shocked. Unfortunately, my brothers room is right above mine, and the floors are paper thin (no insulation, grr) so I can hardly hear it, as my volume always has to be down wayyy low.

Random Fact Of The Day: (And I am thinking about Joel while typing this) The origins of the word "Sinister" comes from the meaning "to be left handed", and "Dexter" means to be "right-handed". Hence ambidextrous. I guess back in the days, being right handed was .. well, right, and being left handed was considered not right, slightly evil. Hence the evolution of Sinister. (Ps - Thanks to Jon who told me this fact. I thought it was pretty awesome :P)

December 13, 2006

So it has been almost two years since this website was up and running :o Isn't that crazy? The reason I decided to reopen this site is mainly because: A. I was still paying for this space. B. Jocelyn has begged for a long time now. C. I have moved, and it's a little tougher to keep in touch with some important people in my life!

I've officially settled into my new house. It was a a bit depressing at first, being stuck in an unfamilliar place, but I have finally adjusted. My bedroom is currently situated in the basement, as there isn't enough bedrooms upstairs. I, unfortunately, only have three walls and the last is a soon-to-be curtain :/ Not my idea of a wonderful bedroom, but it's only temporary until we find a house we really like and move out of this rental.

I don't expect to be living with my parents for much longer, as Jon and I have been planning to move out soon! Isn't that exciting? It's funny how excited I get, thinking about buying silverware or dish sets or my own couch. It feels wonderful! Amazing how you can appreciate the littlest things in life. I have been job hunting like a mad woman. And although this land is the 'land of opportunity' I am a picky person and am not gonna settle for the bare minimum. I want to find a job working in an office, preferably the college here. My mom and dad both got a job there, and I want to follow suit :P I've accepted a temporary job at Blockbuster to help pay the bills inbetween my job hunting. I'm only getting 25 hours a week, when I want 40, but oh well.. what can you do?

I haven't met anyone new out here, as I have only had two shifts and have been stuck in the house. FUNNY STORY! When I worked at McDonalds a year ago, I heard rumour that two of our managers were moving out to Edmonton, since the job paid more out here. Turns out they did go! So last week I totally looked up which restuarant they worked at and managed to surprise visit Samantha :P It was awesome because me and Sam always got along so well and always had so much fun at work (even though she was my manager :o). Did I ever surprise her. She was floored. "WHAT are you doing here?!" When I told her I live here now, we immediately exchanged phone numbers and talked for about 15 minutes. It was great to see a familliar face after a good month of seclusion in my house. Hopefully she'll call me up soon and we can go out! Yayyy :D

Other than that, my job at Blockbuster is going okay. Apparently I catch on quickly :P But after working with the AWFULLY-CONFUSING ADP system at my last workplace, the computer system is a cinch to learn :P I'm super cool because I have a laser barcode scanner and a magnetic strip :P I'm too cool!

Anyways, I need to generate some new traffic to this website, so some people should expect an e-mail from me telling them to come and visit me. MWHAHAHA. Hope you all like the new layout! and LEAVE A COMMENT!! <333
